Feeling a bit sketchy

Hi everyone.

How are we all going this weekend? It is cold, wet and miserable here in Canberra. Perfect weather to stay inside and do some crafting. This week I have been in the mood to do some challenges. So far I have only completely 1 (lol that is still better than none). This layout was created for a sketch challenge by the gorgeous Teina over at 123 Scrapbook. It is of my two babies when we went to the botanical gardens a couple of months ago. These two are such great sister's (when they are not fighting).

Last night I went to the 123 Scrapbook cybercrop. As usual it was a barrel of laughs and my sides hurt at the end of the night from laughing too much. The lovely DT set 3 more challenges, so hopefully I will get a chance to do these and I will have more creations to share over the rest of the weekend.

Finally a huge thankyou to the very gorgeous Monica who gave me the following award. You are too sweet Mon!Now I have to pass this award on to 5 other bloggers.
So I would love to pass it on to 5 beautiful ladies who I have met through the Kaisercraft forum:
Hilary
Selena
Jenni
Pamela and
Mandy

Well that's about it for me so far.
Thanks for stopping by.

Little Girls

Happy Thursday everybody.

I hope the week has been kind for you so far. We had a little bit of excitement yesterday. My DD Emily decided to back her bottom through a glass window. I can tell you when I heard the glass shatter my heart completely stopped. Miraculously she walked away without a scratch. I think this is because her nappy acted as a cushion and took most of the blow. And to think the other day I was wondering when she will be out of nappies (I was thankful yesterday that she was still in them that's for sure).
After all the excitement was over and the girls were safely tucked up in bed, I managed to finish this layout. It is a layout of my adorable little niece Miss Ella. It uses Kaisercraft Be Mine paper, Kaisercraft flowers, pearls and rub ons. I love the way this one turned out. Mainly because the subject is so darn cute.

Well thanks for stopping by.
I hope you have a great day.

Inkurable Stampers April Entry

Hi Everyone.
Well I hope that the Easter bunny found you all safely, and filled you houses with love and chocolate. Our Easter was very quiet, but lovely nonetheless. Today I have my entry for this months challenge over at Inkurable Stampers. The challenge was to create a project using the Inkurable Stampers colours (orange, black and white) and atleast one stamp.

I bought the box from a $2 shop. The house is a Collections Elements house which is covered with Kaisercraft paper, German Scrap and gutter guard. I stamped Prima College Opus stamp around the walls. The girl on the front is a stamp from Rubber stamp Tapestry while the stamp on the side of the house is a Technique Tuesday Stamp. For the background I covered a piece of cardboard (from a coke carton) with book print. I then removed some of the top layer to reveal the corrugations underneath. I then applied a white wash of acrylic paint over the entire surface and glued this inside the box. I embellished with a Collections Elements window and bird, a twig which I painted white and some Bazzill Basics paper flowers which I applied dimensional magic drops to for dew drops.
I have never really made anything like this before, but I am a little bit hooked now lol. I hope you like it too.

Have a great week everybody.

My Earth Angel

Hi everyone.

Firstly I want to wish everyone a very Happy Easter. I hope you all have a beautiful day on Sunday, and I hope that the Easter bunny finds you.

I just wanted to share with you all this layout I finished today. It uses Kaisercraft's Sweets range. This is such a pretty range, and I knew it would match this photo perfectly. Don't you just love this photo, Kayla looks like such an angel...hence the title Earth Angel. But don't be fooled, she can turn into a little devil with the blink of an eye lol. Gotta love 4 years old...she is still a sweetie though.

I will upload some close-ups of this layout tomorrow, the lighting is pretty rotten today.

Well I hope you all have a fantastic weekend.

Until next time
HAPPY EASTER

Behind the Mask

Hi everyone. I hope you are all having a great weekend. First of all thankyou to all the lovely ladies who have sent get well messages for my little one's. We are on the mend...finally. Hopefully by the end of the week we will be flu free :)

I just thought I would share this mask that I made. I bought it from a $2 shop (love the fun things you can find at $2 shops). I painted it black and then embellished it with Kaisercraft Sakura Park papers and rhinestones. I kept this one fairly simple, it was just a test to see if I could make it. Now that know I can I am off to buy a few more masks and create some more intricate one's. I have a billion other things I should be doing, but this was so fun to make, and slightly addictive too.

Anyway I quite like the way this one turned out, I hope you do to.

Thanks for stopping by.

What's the date?

Hi everyone. I hope you are all having a wonderful Wednesday. There is not much news at this end. We have been hit by the flu yet again, or the same flu must love us so much that it decides to keep visiting. I decided to take Kayla to the doctor because she was getting worse and her cough sounded just horrible. So now she is on some Penicillin which will hopefully scare it away. Emily started coughing last night, so no doubt it is her turn, which will most definitely be followed by me. The joys of having a family who shares everything :)

I have managed to do a little bit a scrapbooking lately, but I can't show you that yet because it is for my DT work at A2Z Scraplets. So I thought I would share with you this Kaisercraft Desk Calendar that I have made for my MIL.

Well I hope you all have a great week.

Until next time
Take care
